Something new to this years Seafood Festival will be the Sea Hag Market.  The Market will be offering freshly made old world cheeses, smoked meats including beef sticks and other assorted meats, freshly hand made pickles, and a cup holding cheese, meat and grapes that can be purchased to accompany your favorite wine.  Old timey candies, Amish jams and jellies will also be available for your shopping pleasure. Special made assortment of candles to compliment the wines will also be highlighted.  While at the Festival shop the Sea Hag Market, there's no telling what you will find when it becomes shopping time!

Sweet Acre Farms Winery is a small husband and wife run farm located in the beautiful foothills of the  Northeast Georgia mountains. After growing blackberries and keeping bees for some time, we have turned our u-pick farm into Hall County's first winery. We specialize in fruit, or "country wines," that are reminiscent of those our southern families used to make. We honor or state's agricultural diversity by using the finest ingredients from our farm and farms alike.

Bringing fruit wine to a whole new level! Making wines in a traditional country way, we're bringing wines out your grandpa's basement and into the community. We do not add water, artificial flavorings, colorings, or concentrates to any of our fruit wines. These are pure wines true to the fruit on the label; these are NOT grape wines with flavoring This produces a rich, full-bodied, soulfully aged fruit wine full of flavor and aroma. Anything we don't grow, we buy from other local Georgia farms (excluding our lemon juice for our "Quittin' Time"). You gotta come have a taste!

Matthew and Lindsey Vrahiotes

Hi! We are Matthew and Lindsey Vrahiotes, the owners and operators of Sweet Acre Farms Winery. After meeting on a blind date while attending Valdosta State University, we quickly fell in love and realized how much we enjoyed spending time together. It become our life goal to find our niche in the entrepreneurial realm that would enable us to work together as a team. After seven years of marriage, six of which were spent building a farm from the ground up and attempting to start a business while still maintaining our full time jobs, we finally achieved our dream of opening Sweet Acre Farms Winery. It has been a long road, but we are proud of what we have accomplished and look forward to the journey ahead. We have learned so much as beekeepers, gardeners, fruit cultivators, winemakers, construction workers, salesmen, and spouses. !

Kurt and Jan Olson started as home wine makers using wine making kits. We bought our first grapes to make wine in 2007. 

 Come and experience our wines for yourself. 

In the Snowbird Mountains above the Western Carolina Regional Airport, we planted a small vineyard of Chardonel, Vidal Blanc and Cynthiana grape vines in 2010. We began making wine from them in 2013.  Both the 2013 Chardonel and 2013 Vidal Blanc won Gold medals at the Wine Maker's Magazine's International Amateur Competition in 2014.  

Our Vidal Blanc won a Gold medal and our Chardonel and Cynthiana won Silver medals at the 2016 Asheville Wine and Food Festival. Our Vidal Blanc won another Gold and our Chardonel won Silver at the NC State Fair 2016. Our newest Vidal Blanc and Cynthiana won Silver and Chardonel won Bronze at the NC State Fair 2018. Our blackberry/blueberry wine won a bronze medal at the 2017 North Carolina State Fair.

 We have partnered with vineyards in the local area and North Carolina to purchase their grapes to make great wines. We want to share all our wines with you.

 The name FernCrest is based on the house and winery being on the crest of a hill and Kurt growing ferns from spores. Our logo is a family crest with a fern and fiddle head.  The top of the crest is a representation of the Snowbird Mountains. All our wines are named after Ferns.

Dr Jerry Smith is the founder as well as the winecrafter at Eagle Fork Vineyards.  Dr Smith’s training to become a vineyard owner and crafter of fine wine can be traced back to his childhood, living and working in the heart of the largest concentration of Concord grape production in the United States.  At that time most Concord grape production went into the production of grape juice for Welch’s grape juice company. Today that region boasts many fine wineries and award winning wines. Dr Smith earned a PhD in the field of environmental chemistry before founding an environmental engineering company in 1982.  In 2004, Dr Smith sold his company and retired to start Eagle Fork vineyards. For Jerry, creating wine is an expression of dedication, passion, skill, imagination, experience, patience, and resolve. It is the pursuit of never being satisfied but always seeking to improve. Much like an artist that seeks perfection in his paintings, so does the winemaker seek the perfect wine.  Every wine produced by Eagle Fork Vineyards is distinctly different from all other wines we produce and every year is different than the year before. In 2004, Jerry traveled to Italy to study playing classical music to the grape vines. Classical music produces sound frequencies that drives insects from the vines, eliminating the need to spray harmful toxic chemicals on the fruit.  The elimination of toxic sprays insures healthy pesticide free fruit and wines. The farming practices employed by Eagle Fork Vineyards protect our environment and our customers that partake in the enjoyment of our fine wines.

Engelheim Vineyards focuses on growing outstanding grapes to produce the highest quality of wines. Our objective is to give all glory to God while integrating our German heritage and our Appalachian home. We also hope to honor the original residents of Engelheim, the Cherokee Nation. The owners, Gary and Jan Engel and their family, decided to purchase the land that is now known as Engelheim (German for “Angel Home”) in 2007. After Colonel Engel retired from the Army in 2004 and upon his return from Iraq and Kuwait, they decided to live their dream of living in the North Georgia Mountains to grow the finest quality grapes. The Engel family planted their first vines in 2009 and harvested their first vintage in 2011; Engelheim Vineyards has been going strong ever since.

For the Engel family, it is about quality of life and touching other lives. Gary’s love for and family heritage of farming has driven the Engels to establish the vineyards, a tasting lodge, and the winery. Their dream also focuses upon building a future for their family.

Their family venture has rewarded them with maintaining a focus on strong Christian values and the gift of seeing first hand how God provides our grapes. The family gives all thanks to God for allowing them to take care of this piece of His beautiful world and to live in harmony with His perfect plan.  Through their wine tastings in Georgia Engelheim offers the public opportunities to sample and purchase their wines at leisure.

Have you ever wanted to lean how the professionals pair wine with food? Engelheim works with chefs and wine-pairing instructors to bring wine pairing classes to our customers. They also produce wine pairing dinners, dinners in the vineyard, art events, music events, and wine festivals.



We offer a 5 wine tasting for $10 and have a variety of both dry and sweet , red and white wines for your choosing.

Sauvignon Blanc

Our Sauvignon Blanc is  snappy, zesty, vibrant and  full of aromatic personality.  Her herbaceous qualities give way to flavors of melon, pear, and citrus.  The high acidity and crisp, clean taste makes it a great wine to pair with appetizers.


This 100% estate grown Traminette has the wine characteristics of its better-known parent, Gewürztraminer.  The floral nose combines perfectly with the exotic flavors of mango, lemon peel, pineapple and grapefruit. Crisp acidity and a hint of sweetness create the perfect framework for this crowd pleaser, finishing delightfully on the back of the palate.

Blessed with a unique microclimate, a combination of warm, dry summer days, cool mountain nights and well-drained mineral soils, which allows us to cultivate and harvest grapes that produce complex wines with fresh, assertive aromas and concentrated flavors.

Crane Creek Vineyards is a family run business in the truest sense of the word. Members of our small staff are all family members, even if they are not part of my blood family. All of our "family" members have their own specialties and unique personalities, but are all experienced in each facet of the winemaking process and other activities at the vineyard. We may spend one day together harvesting, and the next weekend working at one of our many public or private functions. Each day and each season is filled with rewards as we work day to day with the land, the vines, and the incredible backdrop of our mountain home.

We have three popular locations at the vineyards for wedding ceremonies. TheCeremony Island sits in our pond. With adequate space for the wedding couple, officiate, and wedding party, your guests will witness from the bank just across the bridge as vows are exchanged.

Ceremonies at the Bridal Gazebo provide you and your guests with the feeling that you are "among the vines." The gazebo rests on the bank of the pond, making it a wonderful backdrop for a long aisle. Guests gather under a large maple tree just off the grape vines.

Want to take full advantage of the vineyard and mountain views? Have your ceremony in the barnyard in front of our culinary garden. Your guests (that may include some uninvited chickens!) will enjoy one of the best views on the property.


Our event staff is happy to help you plan every detail of your wedding ceremony and reception. We provide everything from ceremony and reception seating to wonderful gourmet menus. Our Chef creates each reception menu custom to the wedding couple. From a casual picnic under the stars to a formal sit-down dinner, let Crane Creek help you create your vision for the perfect reception meal for your friends and family.

CurraheE Vineyards

In 2008 Marvin Dunson began to think about using the family farm to produce wines. The family farm, at the base of beautiful Currahee Mountain, had once been an apple orchard owned by Marvin's parents. 

By 2009 planting had begun that would ultimately lead to award winning wines. Marvin's daughter, Ashley, was very instrumental in getting it all started.

The first wine that Marvin produced was Sweet Cheryl, a sweet red muscadine wine, in memory of his wife who died of cancer before ever seeing the vineyards and winery. The next three to be produced were also muscadine wines—3 Mile White, Golden Harvest, and Currahee Rose.

Our portfolio has now grown to over 12 wines, three of which have won INDY (Indy International Wine Competition) medals—Ole Blue, Blanc du Bois, and 3 Mile White. We are very excited about 2017 for several reasons. 

Over the past two years we have really started to expand our portfolio. New slushy mixes have been launched, Destiny, a dry red blend, and Currahee Red, a semi dry red wine, were both released in 2016. 

Everything we do—from making wines, hosting private events, to parties at the vineyard—all is done to enable our customers to have fun and make or relive wonderful memories.
